‘Ngake me Whātaitai’ is a water screen projection for the festival ‘What If The City Was A Theatre?’. The inspiration comes from the legend of the Wellington Harbour being created by two taniwha, Whātaitai and Ngake. Whātaitai lived in the north of the lake where the harbour now is, while Ngake lived further south. The projection told the story of the taniwha returning to the harbour in a mesmerising and magical way.
